The protective silicone base is indispensable for every espresso environment. It is used to balance the portafilter during the compaction of ground coffee. The protective mat protects the spout of your portafilter and the work surface from damage such as scratches and dents. It also prevents the portafilter from sliding around while tamping the coffee.

Made from high-quality silicone, the Solis protective silicone mat adheres to the surface of the worktop to ensure it stays in place while you grind your coffee. The firm 90-degree vertical bend of the base aligns tightly with the edge of the work surface for even more stability and control. The silicone is raised around the edges of the mat to avoid spills and to keep the area around the espresso machine cleaner.

For quick and easy cleaning, simply wash the base by hand or clean it in the dishwasher.
